WVDXA November Meeting

Saturday November 23rd, 2019 is the next WVDXA meeting. 

Roger, KD8BZY, and Becky, KD8IZK, Linger have graciously volunteered to host the next WVDXA meeting at their QTH near Sissonville, WV.  They are located just three miles from Sissonville High School.  The photo shown above is from the July 2018 meeting at the Linger’s QTH.

When:       Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
Where:      Roger and Becky’s QTH near Sissonville, WV. 
Menu:       Baked ham, potato salad, etc.
Program:   “Small Station EME” by W8TN, N8RR, and KD8BZY.
NOTE:  Parking will be limited so we may have to car pool from Sissonville High School.

Directions – From Interstate 77, exit at Tuppers Creek Road (Exit 111).
Coming from Charleston, at the bottom of the exit ramp, Turn Left on Walker Drive.
       Continue Straight to go under the Interstate.
       You will now be on Call Road.
Coming from the North, at the bottom of the exit ramp, Turn Right onto Call Road.
Follow Call Road for 1.3 miles past Sissonville Used Cars on the right.
Then Turn Right on Sissonville Drive (Route 21) and go 1.2 miles.
At Sissonville High School (on the left) Turn Left onto WV-622 (Martins Branch Rd.)
Go 3.6 miles and  Turn Right on Kelly’s Creek Road.
Go 1.8 miles and Turn Right onto Older Road.
OLDER ROAD is a one lane gravel road.  It can be easy to pass by.
   If you do pass it by, you will soon be going over a concrete bridge crossing the Pocatalico River so go back to the gravel road.
In 0.2 miles, the KD8BZY/KD8IZK QTH is on the Left.

Club Treasury – The Treasurer, WA8WV, will attend so any donations to the club treasury can be made to Dave.

DX’pedition Donation – Karl, K8KT, is collecting donations for the W8S, Swains Island, DX’pedition and donations can be made at the meeting.

ARRL Card Checking At least one ARRL Card Checker will be available to check QSL’s for DXCC, W.A.S., 5BWAS, etc.  Even 160-M QSL’s can be checked.

Plan now to attend and bring your cool QSL’s and new toys to show off!
